It’s Christmas week and that means one thing! “The Humphrey Haus Cafe Ride”.
You may ask what is this event?
Well, we are very fortunate to have a generous cycling loving family within our club “The Humphrey Family” who open up their home to host our members for coffee, tea and cakes during this festive ride.
Not only are they hosting our refreshment stop at their home but also making all the cakes too!
So a huge NCCC thank you to the wonderful Ian, Debbie and Alice for once again hosting this fantastic festive event for our members again this morning .
We mention it very often throughout the year what a wonderful friendly inclusive club we are, and here’s another example which really emphasises that.
As a gesture for their very hard work the Humphrey family suggested a small donation £5 per person and all proceeds to be made to our club charity for the club’s charity the MIDLANDS AIR AMBULANCE CHARITY.
Check out the festive fun and attire too! Glitter, Tinsel all adding some wonderful Christmas Cheer to their morning ride.
The ride was 39.6 miles with 2,344ft of climbing and went anticlockwise through Adlestrop, Enstone, Spelsbury and down through Charlbury before reaching the furthest point away southwards through Leafield.
The return journey passed through the Wychwoods, Bruern, Kingham and Daylesford before returning back to Moreton-in-Marsh.

Hot of the press! We’ve just received an update from our club treasurer and so far this ride has raised a total of £370‼️. 30 members turned out to support this fantastic event.
It’s absolutely brilliant to see so much generosity from our members which reflects the wonderful time they enjoyed with our hosts Ian, Debbie and Alice once this morning.
Thank you to all of our of kind members who made donations today it’s very special and very appreciated by your club and of course the charity.
It’s excellent news for the MIDLANDS AIR AMBULANCE.
The ride started from our new club meeting site at the Dekomte office on the Cotswold Link, Cotswold Business Village, Moreton-in-Marsh.
