NCCC Members take on the HONC 40th Anniversary Ride.

In addition to our scheduled club rides today the club also had a strong contingent taking part in the local “Hell of North Cotswolds” endurance event (HONC).

This event is the original and classic British Cycling Endurance Event which is now in its 40th year! The ride is non competitive and is ridden on and off road.

This endurance cycling event, a British classic. It was originally inspired by the famous Paris-Roubaix event in France and could be argued is the original gravel event in the UK.

There was a choice of three routes of 100km, 75km or 50km around the beautiful North Cotswolds can be chosen on the day.

The event took place at the historic Sudeley Castle estate in Winchcombe.

So, being local to our club it’s fair to see this wonderful event well supported by our members. Below are some pictures of them taking their individual challenges today and 👏🚴‍♂️🚴🏻‍♀️.

Huge NCCC congratulations to all of our fab members who took part and completed their respective challenges today 🙌👏.

Sharing our members experiences and challenges outside of club activities is a great pleasure for NCCC and demonstrates the type of friendly inclusive club that we are! Oh, and on that note guys Mel W wants to thank you for giving her that final encouragement as you all passed her towards the finish .
