NCCC Awards Evening raises over £1,000 for Charities!
It’s the club’s social highlight of the year and what a fabulous evening we had !
Last night was for our Annual Dinner & Awards Evening and this year the event was held at the wonderful grade two listed Redesdale Hall which dominates the centre of Moreton-in-Marsh.
The club had another incredible year and continues to flourish with all time high numbers of members, last night was an occasion to reflect on some of the brilliant events that was enjoyed throughout the year and of course to celebrate the clubs award winners.
Also a time to welcome and thank all of our many new members too (and we have lots!).
Talking of new members, the club decided to show some real appreciation to them this year and for the very first time introduced an all new award purely for our new members.
It really was a fantastic evening but we must mention our raffle because this year we held the best ever in terms of prizes with the star prize being a BRAND NEW Zwift Ride setup with Bike & Trainer, kindly donated by Eric Min and Zwift worth £1,100.
Other superb prizes were:
• A Gold Bike Service worth £170 courtesy of Cyclists Fighting Cancer in Stratford
• A gift box from TY Cycles
• Two x £15 vouchers for Bakery on the Marsh
• A voucher for an afternoon tea for two at the Royal White Hart
• A Cadbury’s Hamper donated by Rachel Davies
No surprise with the incredible prizes that were on offer that the raffle proceeds made over £1,000!! All these proceeds will be shared between our two club charities the Midlands Air Ambulance and Cyclists fighting Cancer
And this year’s Award Winners are:
- Richard Milner memorial Cup (“Above & Beyond”) – Ian Humphrey
- Club Man of the Year – Paul Flint
- Club Woman of the Year – Isobel Hunter
- New Member of the Year – Mel Wilson
- Ride Leader of the Year – Simon Jones
- Half-Wheeler Award – Dom Valder
- Crash of the Year – Csaba Kallo
- Stirrer of the Year (Wooden Spoon) – Will Biggart
The fabulous food was provided by Jeremy and Sara Griffiths from The Rev (Stow on the Wold) and a huge special thanks to them for the most delicious food.
It was a great turnout and members had a most enjoyable evening with an incredible raffle and fun game of heads and tails to finish which was won by Rod Reynolds.
“There are too many people to mention that really made our evening the success that it was so here’s a massive thank you to you all.
You are all amazing and the club really appreciates everything that you did last night to make it the fantastic event that it was!
There’s a real buzz around the club and 2026 is already looking like another fab year ahead!
